Holiday in Maranza, in South Tyrol

Spend your holiday in South Tyrol, and especially in Maranza: a fraction of Rio di Pusteria well known for its unspoilt nature, the marvellous mountains, the special accommodations and the ski slopes of Gitschberg Jochtal ski area. The area of Valles with the Jochtal mountain and the Gitschberg area have became one ski area in 2011: the right place to provide everything for snow activities.

From Maranza you can easily reach the Altafossa Valley and the Wieser Hut surrounded by the three alpine lakes Seefeldsee, placed between 2276 and 2502 meters above sea level.

The church of Maranza is entitled to Saint Jakob, a saint who gives also the name to the trail “Jakobsweg” starting from Vandoies and arriving to Maranza, passing through the town of Rio di Pusteria and near the Novacella Abbey .
